S'pore Airlines starts direct services to Hyd

Singapore Airlines (SIA) on October 20 th announced the launch of its operations to Hyderabad from October 30 to meet the growing demands of its passengers.

Flying four times a week, these direct flights designated as SQ 439 (Hyderabad-Singapore) and SQ 438 (Singapore-Hyderabad) will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday every week.

Hyderabad will be the eighth destination city for SIA in India.

The addition of the direct service will bring to 46 the total number of non-stop weekly flights that the airlines operates to India.

Airlines General Manager-India B K Ong told media here that Hyderabad offered excellent potential as an important destination with a diverse mix of business, heritage and leisure travellers.

''We believe that commencement of our services will enhance business, facilitate travel, bring greater prosperity and economic success to Andhra Pradesh.'' The Airline expects the route to grow between 20-30 per cent riding on IT-ITES, health, tourism and tourism potential.
