The Life Insurance Corporation’s (LIC) Pune division ranks number one in the country in the sum assured category. The Pune division of LIC has Rs 3,704.77 Crore as sum assured.

With 3, 97,086 policies Pune ranks number seven in the country. For that matter, the Western Zone takes the top rank in policy as well as in the sum assured categories among all the zones of LIC.

For the current year, LIC has estimated an advertising spend of Rs 116 crore. Meanwhile, the insurance corporation is planning to launch an advisory services’ scheme to provide its employees with a chance at entrepreneurship. A new unit-linked policy and a money back policy is also on the anvil.
