Don't Stop Mobile, Says Tata

Tata Teleservices (TTSL) has come out with a "free outgoing" scheme for its users across 20 circles, allowing free outgoing calls for two years to any other Tata Indicom mobile or fixed phone within the network.

The new scheme, "Don't Stop Mobile," will not require a fixed monthly commitment, and subscribers are free to recharge with any recharge voucher that starts at Rs 50 plus use the same until they finish the entire validity period - subject to a maximum of 3,600 minutes.

This facility, moreover, also offers free incoming calls for two years without recharging, and will provide subscribers with an initial talk time of Rs 10 for calls to other phones.

It was only in October last year that Tata Indicom coined its new free incoming scheme called "Non-Stop Mobile," which forced competitors to follow suit quickly as new subscribers emerged to enlist for the scheme.

Commenting on the latest scheme, Darryl Green, chief executive officer, Tata Teleservices, said that building on the tremendous success of "Non-Stop Mobile," their "Don t Stop Mobile" is an extension of their commitment and vision to transform and revolutionize the Indian telecom industry, by offering affordable and customer friendly mobile services.

With the new scheme, the company hopes to accelerate the process of fresh entries on to the Indicom bandwagon - both first time users, and those who are making the switch from other service providers.

Meanwhile, for new consumers, the latest offer is bundled with handsets; Indicom Ace, Haier and Kyocera, and Indicom Star. These handsets are priced at around Rs 2,300 to Rs 3,800.
