Research and Markets has announced the addition of Nanotechnology in Austria 2005 - 2006 to their offering.

The Austrian Council has launched a number of initiatives to develop, strengthen, and promote emerging technology fields for the future and a nanotechnology programme has been included.

Due to the limited size of resources available, Austria claims it is not in a position to compete worldwide in all nanotechnology fields as far as RTD or industrial production is concerned. Therefore they have set thematic priorities in nanotechnology to stay at a high level.

Austria has launched dedicated nano initiatives at nation-wide and regional levels, and seeks to focus and cluster respective projects in nanotechnology. National funding programs at large also encompass nano-related research and development activities, however the two identified initiatives try.
