MSN forays into Paid Search advertising

Feeling the heat from the escalating growth of Google and Yahoo!, MSN announced its paid search advertising services at the second annual Advertising Week 2005 being held in New York City. The service, named adCenter will provide advertisers with advanced audience intelligence and targeting capabilities for best returns.

Mr.Yusuf Mehdi, Senior Vice President, MSN® Information Services & Merchant Platform division formally launched the service in France and Singapore. The service was being provided in these countries as a test run, and will begin next month in U.S.

The campaign management tools provided by adCenter include Keyword Selection, Site Analyzer, Audience Profiler, Cost Estimator, Campaign Optimization and Post Sales Audience Intelligence & Reporting.

Speaking about the launch, Mehdi said, “We’re excited by the positive feedback we have received from advertisers thus far. The launch of adCenter in France and Singapore is a great first step to delivering on our global vision to connect advertisers to consumers in a much more meaningful way.”

MSN adCenter will help advertisers provide effective messages to their customers throughout the MSN network.
