The German international women fashion wear company, Marc Cain Corporation at the textile and clothing meet announced the plans to open ten franchise outlets in the next couple of years, according to Company Distribution Director Norbert Lock.

The company specialises in knitwear and uses its own inkjet techniques and further the company has 56 Marc Cain Stores, 356 Marc Cain Depots and Shop In Stores. Marc Cain has its manufacturing base in Germany and East Europe with a turn over of Euro 100 million in 2005.

The company further refused to comment on the investments earmarked for the company's foray into the country. The investments will be planned only after the decision of the right partner, as the company wants to be very flexible and have to work out areas of investment for themselves and for the partner.

The Distribution Director further revealing the plan said the store format could be outlets in shopping malls, hotels, boutiques or even stand alone stores.
