Bombay Rayon Fashion Limited (BRFL), a manufacturer of designer woven fabrics and garments, is aiming to become a complete apparel company.

To achieve this, it is setting up an integrated textile unit at the apparel park in Doddaballapur near Bangalore by using a part of the Rs.90 crore recently raised through the public issue. Sources said here on December 13.

The project is slated to be on stream by March 2006. This manufacturing facility will have a production capacity of 22,000 pieces per day of garments, 2,000 kg per day of yarn dyeing, 48 looms for weaving, 94,000 metres per day of processing.

Presently the company has garment-manufacturing facilities in two units based in Bangalore with a capacity to produce around 6,000 pieces of shirts per day.

It will be adding three more units to the garments division thereby increasing its capacity to 32,000 pieces per day.

The company is also planning to diversify into innerwear, ladies tops, kids'wear and denims and aims to tap the enormous European Union market for them.
