The government today indicated that it will come out with a new nano-biotechnology policy in order to harness its immense potential in various sectors and work out adequate budgetary allocations for this emerging technology.

“Given the potential of application of this technology, adequate allocation must be made”, the Minister of State for Finance Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal , said at an interactive session on Nano financing and Policy, organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and industry(ASSOCHAM).

Mr. Bansal assured the industry of all possible financial support to promote this emerging technology. He said the government would shortly arrange for interactive sessions with organizations like the ASSOCHAM, scientific and engineering community and all concerned stakeholders to obtain inputs and suggestions so that industry’s viewpoint and suggestions are incorporated in its new nano- biotechnology policy.
